Plain-English summary: the app collects nothing: your music, analysis, and room audio never leave your machine. The website collects your email if you join the list, and standard server logs. Payments go through a processor; we never see card numbers. That's the whole policy, expanded below.

1. The app: nothing leaves your machine

CueDJ performs all audio analysis, fingerprinting, and matching locally. The app contains no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising SDKs, and is fully functional offline.

Your audio files are read from your disk and never transmitted to us.
Room audio in Perform mode is processed in memory for matching against your own library and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Analysis data and set plans are stored locally on your machine and belong to you.

The app contacts our servers only for license activation and update checks, which transmit your license key and app version. They do not transmit your library. If we ever add an optional crash reporter, it will be off by default and this policy will be updated first.

2. The website

If you join the early-access list, we collect your email address and, if you choose, which mode interests you. This is stored in a hosted database operated by Upstash, Inc. on our behalf, and used only to send launch notes. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe. The Site uses no advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, request path, user agent) for security and debugging, retained for no longer than 30 days.

3. Payments

Purchases are handled by Stripe, which collects your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email, the product purchased, and a transaction reference: never your card number.

4. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their marketing. We share data only with the service providers named above, as required to operate (email delivery, payments, hosting), or if the law compels us.

5. Your rights

You can unsubscribe from the list at any time, and you can email hello@cuedj.ai to access or delete the information we hold about you (which, in most cases, is one email address). California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

6. Children

The Site and Software are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and note material changes in release notes or by email to list members.
